I will be posting my NFL TOP PICKS on Super Sunday. The season record is 55-36 and 26-10 the last 8 weeks of NFL Top Picks. NFL Playoff record is 9-2. Tomorrow is Super Sunday and the Current line is GB Packers -2 1/2 with a total of 44.
Today’s Article: Some quick thoughts and questions before Super Bowl Sunday—
***I feel so fortunate that two storied franchises in the NFL are playing for the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday. Two terrific quarterbacks, two great defenses and two great teams, what more can a fan of the NFL ask for?
***Will either team be able to establish a running game on Sunday? I will be stunned if any running back gains more than 30 yards in the Super Bowl.
***Ben Roethlisberger has two Super Bowl champion rings. Does the fact that the Steelers defeated the Seahawks and Cardinals in these previous Super Bowls effect how you feel about this accomplishment?
***If Ben Roethlisberger leads the Steelers to a 3rd Super Bowl, does it automatically qualify him for Hall of Fame induction?
***I am a Packer fan but think that every NFL fan that does not have a dog in this fight would be very happy for Donald Driver and Charles Woodson to finally win the Super Bowl.
***Will there be a car on the road in Wisconsin or Pennsylvania from 6:30ET until 10:30ET on Sunday night?
***How do Viking fans feel about the Packers getting to the Super Bowl after last year being so close with the Packer legend, #4, leading them?
***How does #4 feel about the Packers being in the Super Bowl?
***I am curious how much the loss of Maurkice Pouncey will effect the Steelers and their offensive line?
***The Steelers have had 3 Head Coaches in the last 41 years. How about your team?
***Would the Packers be better if they had not lost Nick Barnett, Jermichael Finley and Ryan Grant?
***With Aaron Rodgers in his 3rd year as a starter, could this be the beginning of a 3-5 year run for the Packers. Can you imagine this team if they did not have to put 15 players on Injured Reserve this season?
***Times have changed for the Packers, when #4 was the starter they played terribly inside. Now with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, they play terrific when in a dome. Thank you NFL, for closing the roof.
***If this game is a blowout either way, will Super Bowl XLV be remembered for the weather?
***Is there a better coach in the NFL than Mike Tomlin?
***Packer fans are taking green towels to Dallas, when the Terrible Towels are flying the entire stadium will be green and gold.
***Will this be the last NFL game we see for some time?
***What do you do all day Sunday waiting for the big game?
***Defensive Coordinators, Dom Capers & Dick LeBeau coached on the same staff at Pittsburgh under Bill Cowher.
***If I am an NFL General Manager, I am keeping Packers coach, Kevin Greene, on my speed dial. He is the one who has helped Clay Mathews more than anyone.
***Dreams do happen–Last year at this time, James Starks had missed his entire senior year at the University of Buffalo with a shoulder injury. This year he is the starting running back in the Super Bowl.
***Is there a more intimidating defensive player in the entire NFL than James Harrison?
***I think the NFL missed a terrific marketing idea by having all of the living players of the Steelers and Packers previous Super Bowl champion teams introduced before the game. The crowd would have went crazy. Can you imagine when they introduced LeRoy Butler, Bart Starr and Jerry Kramer for the Packers and Lynn Swann, Terry Bradshaw and Mean Joe Greene for the Steelers. I wouldn’t care if it took an hour, it would be the highlight of Super Bowl week. I wonder if #4 would have shown up for this?
***In closing, this has been a very bittersweet couple of weeks for me as I cannot help but think of my family of Packer fans. I know that they will all be watching on Sunday and cheering for the Packers. All hoping to return the Lombardi Trophy to the city where Vince coached. I also have spent quite a bit of time thinking about my family members that are no longer with us on earth. They sure would have enjoyed the last two weeks. Enjoy the game everyone, I will be watching from my friendly confines of my office in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
The only way I know to end this article is with GO PACK GO!!!
